I would start with the library’s Literature Databases (choose "English Composition and Literature" from the All Subjects drop down box), but honestly, resources are rather sparse on this work. Try searching Bloom’s Literary Reference Center with the keywords Richard Wright AND “Big Black Good Man” (quotation marks includeed) and you should find two useful articles. There is also one critical essay on the work in Literature Resource Center (Gale), and two articles in Literary Reference Center (Ebsco), using the same search keywords. You could also try searching Academic Search Premier (Found under A in Databases A to Z) for information on racism in Denmark. Two articles that address that are “The Danish Cultural World of Unbridgeable Differences” and “Cultural Racism: Something Rotten in the State of Denmark?”.
