The Library’s Literature Databases would be a good place to start. Try searching Bloom’s Literature with the keywords Alice Walker AND "Everyday Use" and you should be rewarded with several useful articles. Some very good scholarly articles can also be found in JSTOR – Language & Literature, Literature Resource Center (Gale), and Literary Reference Center (Ebsco), using the same search keywords. Everyday Use actually seems like a very good topic to write about because there are plenty of resources on it.

Many resources on Alice Walker also exist in HGTC's print collections. They can be located by doing a keyword search for Alice Walker. Specific works you may want to consider could include Critical companion to Alice Walker : a literary reference to her life and work  and Bloom's how to write about Alice Walker.
