You can find information on your bacterium by visiting the LibGuide created for BIO 225:
Once you're there, click the "Reputable Websites" tab. Then, click on the first link, Taxonomy - National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), which will open this site:
You can find your bacterium's taxonomy or lineage with the NCBI. Once you have the lineage, you can use one of the volumes of Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology to learn more about your bacterium. These books are located in the Reference sections at both the Conway and the Grand Strand Campus Libraries. You won't be able to take the book with you, but you can make copies of the information you find. Ask the librarian for assistance.
You may also access Bergey's online eBook under the "eBooks" tab of the LibGuide.
