Start on the HGTC library website, click on the Databases tab, then on Databases by Subject. In the list of subjects, select Nursing. This will bring up a complete list of all our nursing databases. You can use any of these, but I would recommend choosing one from Ebsco, for example, CINAHL Plus with Full Text. Once you are in an Ebsco database, look for the "Choose Databases" link above the search box - this makes it possible to search multiple databases at once. Clicking "Choose Databases" brings up a list of databases with check boxes next to them. Select the check boxes next to the following, then click OK:
- CINAHL Plus with Full Text
- Health Source: Consumer Edition
- Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition
Once you have your databases selected, there are two more check boxes to mark - Full Text and Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals. These can be found below the search box. Finally type the following into the search box, then click Search:
QSEN OR "quality and safety education for nurses"
This search should bring up more than 20 peer-reviewed articles on the topic of QSEN competencies.
