If you need a book, you'll want to search the library catalog. Go to and type your topic into the search box that looks like this, then click search. Use the simplest search terms possible: teenage pregnancy, environmentalism, guns, obesity, etc.


You should see a list of books on your topic. When you see a book that looks interesting, click on its title to find out where it is located. Look for the part of the screen that looks like this:


The three highlighted areas show the information you need to find the book: the campus, the call number (the book's place on the shelf), and the location (the area of the library where the book is shelved).
