Morgan,

Based on your question, I am guessing that you are in either Alyssa Johnson or Becky Hubbard's ENG 101 class.  Both of those professors have an assignment that covers the themes discussed in that movie.  We have created a library site from which you can do all your research.  The site is exactly the same for both professors.  Here are the links (choose whichever one includes your professor's name):

http://libguides.hgtc.edu/eng101_hubbard

http://libguides.hgtc.edu/eng101_johnson

When you get to the site, we recommend you click on the databases tab.  This tab will provide you with access to the library's database (which give you articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers).  You will see several databases on the page.  They all will give you different results.  They are also grouped by category.  The Issues databases will give you different viewpoints on issues.  The Environment databases will give you information on the environment.  The General databases would be your best bet to find information on the film.  We especially recommend Academic OneFile or Academic Search Premier.  A good search to try would be the name of the film in quotation marks - "big miracle"

If you are looking for information about themes discusses in the movie, we recommend the Issues or the Environment databases over the general databases.

Hopefully this information is of a help to you.  If you need additional assistance, please contact the library once again and we would be happy to help.

Thank you.
