That is an interesting question.  There are two databases that I would recommend for your topic - Academic Search Premier and Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection.  Luckily, since these two were created by the same company, we can search them simultaneously!  Start on the library homepage:

Click the blue [Databases] tab, then "Databases A to Z".  Go to A for Academic Search Premier.

Near the top, click "Chose Databases".  Check the box beside "Pyschology and Behavioral Sciences Collection" and click "Okay".

Try searching

("Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" OR PTSD) AND (family OR families) AND military

[This is much more advanced than a search that I would usually do, but your topic is very specific.  That's a good thing!]

After you hit search, you should see a page of results.  On the left side, you might notice that the oldest article goes back to 1984.  You may want something a little more up-to-date, so you can click and drag the scroller on the timeline and click "Update".

If you'd like to take out all of the magazine and newspaper articles and limit your search to only scholarly material, you can check the "Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals" box on the left side, just above the publication date sliding bar.
