No. The library does not collect textbooks. We do, however, have a "reserve" system that allows professors to put textbooks and other course materials at the library for students to use. It is entirely up to your professor whether or not they make the textbook available at the library.
To find out if your textbook is available in our "reserve collection" follow these directions.
- Go to the library homepage.
- Under the catalog search box, click on Advanced Search to open the catalog.
- In the catalog, click on the Reserve Desk link at the top of the page.
You can search for a textbook by course number (eg., ENG 101), instructor's last name (eg., Smith), or course name (eg., English Composition I). Course number is the most reliable of these methods.
