You can search for a book right from the library's website, using the library catalog search.

You may choose to narrow your search to a specific campus using the drop-down menu (HGTC Libraries). The default search is a keyword search, but you can change it to a title, author, or subject search if you wish.

If the HGTC libraries do not have the book you are looking for in the print collection, here are other options to try:

  1. eBook collection
  2. PASCAL Delivers
  3. Interlibrary Loan

Depending on what type of resource you need, you can access scholarly works, popular works, and reference books through HGTC's eBook collections. To begin, go to the Library Home Page and click on the eReading tab. Ebook Central and the EBSCO eBook Collection are great resources for scholarly eBooks about a variety of topics. Credo Reference and Gale Virtual Reference Library are collections of reference eBooks. Through Axis360 and hoopla Digital, you can check out an eBook on your mobile device.

PASCAL Delivers allows current HGTC employees and students to request books from other South Carolina colleges and universities. Search the PASCAL catalog, or locate the PASCAL Delivers link below the catalog on the Library Home Page. You will need your H number to order books through PASCAL Delivers.

In order to meet specific research needs of students, faculty, and staff, the library offers an Interlibrary Loan service. Through this service, HGTC Library patrons may borrow materials from other libraries throughout the country. You can request an Interlibrary Loan with the Interlibrary Loan link under the catalog search box or by speaking with a library staff member.
